Match Media Group teamed up with Discover to survey about 2,000 online participants to find out what they considered attractive in a potential boyfriend or girlfriend. A good credit score was seen as a somewhat sexy quality, the survey found. For 69 percent of the online participants, a sound credit score was thought to be a very important quality in a potential match. For these participants, a good score was more important than having a sense of humor, being attractive, and showing ambition. It even ranked higher than modesty and courage. Who would have thought paying your bills on time each month could actually help you out in the dating scene?
The survey also looked at how financial responsibility was viewed by potential suitors. A person who is considered financially responsible is thought to be generally responsible about 73 percent of the time by online participants. They were also perceived to be trustworthy and intelligent. Basically, being a financially responsible individual makes other aspects of your personality more attractive to a high percentage of people.
That wasn’t all the study found. Participants believed that being financially responsible is a more attractive quality than owning a nice vehicle about 58 percent of the time. People also believed that it was better to be financially responsible than to have a fancy job title.
