Banksy, a multi-talented British artist, was selected by “Time Magazine” for its list of the world’s 100 most influential people in the year of 2010. During that year, he found himself accompanied by personalities like Steve Jobs, Barack Obama, and Lady Gaga.
Banksy is a masked artist who is famous as a graffiti master, painter, activist, filmmaker, and provocateur. His fans don’t want to know who he really is, but they just want to follow his upward trajectory in breaking the laws for spraying on the walls in Bristol, England, in 1990. His work is sold at hundreds and thousands of dollars in Britain’s and America’s auction houses.

Later, he started to spray on the canvas instead of the walls and even began to film documentaries. Academy awards nominated one of his work ‘Exit Through The Gift Shop.’ He and his artwork are protected and authenticated by Pest Control, an authoritative organization. He kept his face covered with paper bags, and he took no one else’s control over his narrative.
The artist used the film medium to create a documentary, “Exit Through the Gift Shop,” in 2010. It is awarded the best work of the masked artist by the “New York Times”. It was parallel to another best work of Banksy, i.e., ‘A trompe l’oeil,’ which was a documentary, but it felt like a great con. This documentary got shortlisted in the document category for Oscar in 2010.

The critics castigated the masked artist as a ‘Champagne Socialist.’ He often countered a series of charges against him, but nothing stopped him in his task of painting the world with social messages. Bansky, an international street star, gained worldwide fame in 2005 and managed to keep that up until the end of his saga.
Most of his works are now just a piece of memory in our heads or the photographs. Almost 40 out of his 52 artworks have now disappeared from the streets. They are either destroyed or cleaned by whitewash. His works happen to have great value, but they are just a pleasant memory in the people now.
The final chapter of Banksy’s saga is more of a mystery. His last work of 2013’s summer is of the time during the London Games. Banksy, the masked artist, posted two images regarding the Olympic game that included a javelin thrower swaying a missile and a pole vaulter flying high over a barbed-wire fence. But there is a twist in the tale, the locations of these artworks have remained undiscovered.
